A homeowner who had been snaking his line every six to eight months finally got a permanent fix: TSR hydro-jetted a root ball 23 feet out and lined the full 85-foot clay lateral in a single day.
This Allied Gardens homeowner had been paying to have his sewer cleared every six to eight months for a couple of years, and each time the interval got shorter. He had put off a real repair because every quote involved digging up the yard and replacing the pipe.
TSR ran a camera down the line first. The repeated cable cleanings had been chewing at the old clay pipe, and the video showed cracking along much of its length. About 23 feet from the house sat a large root ball that was the real cause of the backups: with the pipe that restricted, anything more than light use pushed sewage back into the home.
The line measured roughly 85 feet to the city connection. Rather than open the yard, TSR hydro-jetted the roots and scale out of the clay pipe, then inverted a resin-saturated liner through the full run and cured it in place. The homeowner had a neighbor over to watch.
The whole repair was done in under a day, and the bathrooms were back in use that evening. He had expected two or three days of work and a five-figure excavation bill; the lining came in at a fraction of that and left the yard untouched.
