An investor with six San Diego homes wanted the right trenchless method for a clay line under his driveway. TSR lined it, then relined all his other properties over the following month.
The owner had done his homework and wanted a trenchless repair; he just was not sure whether bursting or lining was the right call. This was one of six homes he owned in San Diego, and the sewer ran under the front yard and out beneath the driveway.
The camera showed old terra cotta, the orange clay pipe that fills with roots and eventually backs up into the house. With the pipe intact but root-prone, TSR recommended lining.
TSR lined just over 65 feet of terra cotta, leaving the driveway in place. The post-lining video convinced him: a seamless interior with nothing for roots to grip. He asked whether lining made sense as preventive maintenance, and over the next four weeks had every one of his other San Diego properties relined as well.
